“Healthcare Disparities in America” lecture- Dr. Maria Lee, M.D.

Thursday, April 1. Kohlberg Room 228.

Healthcare Disparities in America: President Obama’s healthcare bill has finally been passed — but for minority Americans, our nation still isn’t even close to resolving healthcare inequality.

Hear about healthcare disparities across oft-overlooked minority communities in this lecture by Dr. Maria Lee, Medical Director of the Chelsea Village Program, affiliated with the Department of Community Medicine at St. Vincent’s Hospital Manhattan.

Dr. Lee will address topics on healthcare disparities in America, drawing from her research on hospice underutilization among Chinese and Latino patients in New York City, as well as her experience as a physician serving the diverse communities in the city.

The lecture is an APIA Heritage Month event sponsored by SAO, Swarthmore Pre-Health Society, FFS, the Intercultural Center, and Career Services.

  1. There are definitely a lot of particulars like that to take into consideration. That may be a great point to deliver up. I provide the ideas above as common inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you deliver up where a very powerful thing shall be working in sincere good faith. I don?t know if greatest practices have emerged round things like that, but I’m certain that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both girls and boys feel the influence of just a second’s pleasure, for the remainder of their lives.
